Doğu-Batı Yaklaşımı Bağlamında Haşim Nahit Erbil’in “Üç Muamma”sı - In the Context of Eastern-Western Approach “Üç Muamma” (“Three Problem”) by Haşim Nahit Erbil

As it is considered that the work called “Üç Muamma: Garp Meselesi, Şark Meselesi, Türk Meselesi” (“Three Problems: Western Issue, Eastern Issue, Turkish Issue”) was written in the atmosphere of 1921, when new political and ideological conditions discussed, the significance of the work is much better understood. Considering how the topics that Ziya Gökalp developed views in the same direction at that time were discussed from the point of Haşim Nahit will be helpful that the thoughts of that period is perceived more comprehensively. The actual topic that Haşim Nahit wanted to study was Turkish Issue; however he started with the view that without considering this issue associated with Western and Eastern issues and recognising the necessity of understanding West and East first then inserting the Turkish issue in its place as a method. This appears as a quite correct approach to us.
