PROBLEMS OF CREATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF URBAN AGGLOMERATIONS IN UKRAINE: THE EXPERIENCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND

The article examines the problems of the creation and development of urban agglomerations in Ukraine, analyzes the existing strategic documents on planning the development of urban agglomerations in Ukraine and the Republic of Poland and the correspondence of these documents to the vision of the residents of the communities participating in the agglomerations based on the analysis of the results of sociological research. The article analyzes the practices of creating urban agglomerations in Ukraine and the Republic of Poland, including a thorough analysis of the mechanisms of creation, development planning, and institutionalization of urban agglomerations. A detailed analysis of the development of Polish urban agglomerations made it possible to draw conclusions about the need to borrow foreign experience in the development of urban agglomerations.
