Abstract

The article explores the administrative process as a tool for resolving disputes with the decisions of government authorities, particularly through the submission of citizen complaints. The principles of the administrative process, enshrined in legislation and constitutional standards, are analyzed. Emphasis is placed on the role of citizen complaints in identifying legal violations and protecting the rights and interests of citizens. The stages of the administrative process for citizen complaints, from initial submission to the implementation of the decision, are thoroughly examined. The rights and duties of participants in this process are analyzed, and the timeframes for its completion are defined. Based on the study, proposals for improving the administrative process and ensuring effective interaction between citizens and authorities are put forward. The administrative process is the structured procedures and legal mechanisms used to resolve problematic issues, including ways to appeal actions or decisions of public authorities. This process covers a number of steps and rules designed to provide citizens with a fair and accessible way to present their position and seek redress if they believe that their rights, freedoms or legitimate interests have been violated by public authorities. Appealing against decisions of public authorities is a fundamental aspect of a democratic society, guaranteeing effective mechanisms and efficient means to hold the authorities accountable for their actions. It protects against potential abuse of power and promotes transparency, fairness and the rule of law. Effective interaction between citizens and government is a two-way street. It requires not only a responsible government, but also informed and active citizens. Awareness of rights, responsibilities, and ways to challenge government decisions enables citizens to participate actively in the democratic process.
