Abstract
The main purpose of the article is to explore the latest trends in the application of a project-oriented approach in enterprise development management. The work aims to address the problems that arise in managing the development of modern enterprises. The environment in which modern Ukrainian enterprises are forced to operate is extremely unstable, yet the level of competition continues to rise. Consequently, companies are faced with the need to reform their management approaches, drawing on contemporary foreign practices. The basis for change has been identified as the project, given its similarity to the development process. It is determined that enterprise development can be achieved through a series of projects that shape the program or project portfolio within the enterprise, however, there is a need to define a methodology for managing project activities. One of the primary factors complicating proper project leadership was identified as the mismatch in the enterprise management structure. Most modern enterprises in Ukraine still rely on outdated forms, specifically the linear-functional organizational structure. While effective for a prolonged period, the constant challenges of the external environment may demand a more flexible problem-solving approach from the enterprise. Specifically, the project management methodology, as a primary component, aims at transforming the organizational structure and management system to enhance the enterprise's innovation and adaptability. The article analyzes the prerequisites for implementing project-oriented approaches to managing development in the enterprise. The research results led to the identification of key recommendations for enterprise development based on project implementation. Conclusions were drawn regarding the features and advantages of a matrix structure in the context of project management.
