Abstract

The analysis of working conditions features and the main causes of emergency operation for mining traction net-works AC and DC fault currents considered in the catenary AC and DC traction conditions for an AC voltage of 10.5 kV Public Joint Stock Company "Poltava Ore Mining and Processing Plant" and their effect on electrical safety. The results of studies on loss of fault currents in the contact wire traction AC a break in the trolley wire traction network DC, as well as the results of studies on loss of electrical conditions of the contact wire AC traction. Based on the studies found that the emergency operation caused by breakage of the contact wires are characterized by the appearance of short-circuit, short to ground, and a ground-fault network career due to touch ragged contact wire grounded housing technological equipment, accompanied by the emergence of dangerous levels of fault currents, potentials and stepper voltage and possible failure mode in which the probability of failure of standard remedies. Touch ragged contact wire grounded housing electrical or technological machines is especially dangerous from the point of view of electric shock due to the appearance on the hulls of the potential is much higher than permitted levels, especially for traction network voltage of 10 kV, and the value of current through the human body in the absence of additional insulation funds are much higher than short-term safe levels.
