Abstract

During a kidney transplant three protagonists: a recipient, the patient with renal insufficiency, waiting for a graft to no longer depend on dialysis, a donor, the healthy subject who donates one of his kidneys, and the doctor, intermediary between this donor and this recipient, and who performs a surgical intervention. The arguments used to authorize this practice are diverse. By, weighing the ratio very low risk for the donor, benefit for the recipient. The question therefore arises as to how, in practice, transplant surgeons approach and resolve the ethical issues raised by kidney transplantation with a living donor. Our objective was through this study to contribute to a precise knowledge of kidney transplantation with living donor, useful knowledge for any reflection on the orientation to be given to the evolution of this medical technique. We can conclude that the transplant from the living related donor finds all its legitimacy taking into account the very low risks for the donor both from the point of mortality, zero and low morbidity.
