Abstract
—Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a complex autoimmune disease characterized by multi-organ involvement and a wide range of clinical manifestations. It affects predominantly women of childbearing age and has significant morbidity and mortality. This review article provides an overview of recent advances in the understanding of SLE pathogenesis, clinical features, diagnosis, and management. We discuss genetic and environmental factors, immunological mechanisms, and therapeutic options. Additionally, we highlight unmet needs and emerging therapies. Understanding the heterogeneity of SLE and tailoring treatment to individual patients is crucial for improving outcomes
