Abstract
ln this paper the relationship between papillary patterns on fingers and affiliation to ethno-linguistic groups was studied. Fingerprints of representatives of Slavic, Turkic, Indo-Aryan and Iranian groups were collected. It is shown that each group has characteristic types of patterns. The data obtained indicate the possibility of using papillary patterns to determine ethnicity.
