FEATURES OF PRESENTING RESEARCH RESULTS IN A GRADUATE THESIS FOR A MASTER’S DEGREE IN TRANSLATION STUDIES

The article analyses the need to improve the methodological training of students working for a Master's degree in Translation Studies. A particular difficulty in completing the final thesis on translation is the selection of the content that must be presented in the conclusions of the chapters and the overall thesis conclusion. The purpose of the article is to consider the ways to present the content in the conclusions of chapters and the conclusion of the thesis in the framework of the Translation Studies educational programmes. The following aspects should be presented in the content of the conclusions on chapters and in the conclusion of the thesis: the novelty of the research results; integration of the conclusions obtained on the basis of the analysis of the theoretical part of the study and the results of the empirical part, it is also necessary to ensure the correlation of such methodological components as the purpose of the thesis, the scientific novelty of the study, the provisions submitted for the thesis defence, which should be in relation to logical interdependence with the conclusions of the chapters and the overall conclusion of the thesis. The methodological literature emphasises the importance of the scientific novelty of the research results for assessing its quality and the qualification competences of its author. Increasing the level of methodological awareness of students on the presentation of the results of independent scientific research in the content of the conclusion is of great practical importance in terms of improving research competencies and willingness to apply the knowledge gained in professional activities.
