Research on the Impact of Intellectual Property Protection on China's High Quality Economic Development

—In order to give full play to the role of the intellectual property protection system in promoting the high-quality development of China's economy and seize the high ground for future development, China has implemented the strategy of strengthening intellectual property rights. This paper selects 282 prefecture-level cities in China from 2011 to 2020 as a sample and uses a linear regression model to analyse the impact of intellectual property protection on China's high-quality economic development. It is found that IPR protection has a significant contribution to China's high quality economic development and the results still hold after replacing variables. The heterogeneity analysis shows that the impact of IPR protection on China's high-quality economic development is more significant in the central and western regions, which has important implications for promoting China's high-quality economic development
