Abstract

Introduction. One of the key aspects of green growth is the development of renewable energy sources (RES). Ukraine has significant potential in the use of solar, wind and bioenergy. According to the data of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, as of 2020, RES capacity has increased to 8.5 GW, which is about 8% of the total electricity production in the country. This shows significant progress in the field, but also points to the potential for further growth. That is why energy conservation, its economical use and efficient transportation are extremely important in the conditions of martial law. Solar and wind energy have already reached the necessary technical and economic level for widespread implementation. They make it possible to meet the growing needs for electricity, replacing old coal-fired power plants. In combination with other renewable sources (geothermal, bio- and hydropower) and energy storage and conversion technologies, it is possible to fully meet all of society's energy needs. Purpose. The purpose of this article is to analyze the main indicators of the development of green energy in Ukraine, the prospects for the introduction of green energy sources in the military economy, and the implementation of the concept of sustainable development. Materials and methods. The research is based on systematic and dialectical methods. The system method provides a comprehensive approach to analysis and planning, where all elements of the energy system are considered as interconnected and interdependent, covers the integration of RES into the existing energy infrastructure, taking into account economic, social and environmental factors, as well as the development of optimal solutions to ensure the stability and reliability of energy supply. The dialectical method, based on the philosophy of dialectics, emphasizes the need to take into account the contradictions and conflicts that arise during the implementation of RES. It provides a dynamic approach to the development of technologies and their adaptation to changing conditions. The dialectical method helps to identify and analyze contradictions between traditional and new sources of energy, between short-term and long-term goals, as well as between economic benefit and environmental sustainability. The combination of systemic and dialectical methods makes it possible to achieve a more balanced and effective implementation of RES. This ensures sustainable development of the energy industry, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and contributes to energy security. This approach takes into account all aspects and factors affecting the development of RES and allows finding optimal solutions in conditions of uncertainty and change. The results. The main achievements of the introduction of RES in Ukraine are summarized. The main trends of energy development have been revealed. The authors proposed measures to implement energy innovations in the system of priorities of scientific and technological breakthrough for the period up to 2050. Prospects. The concept of green growth can be implemented only thanks to Ukraine's energy independence. In the conditions of martial law, environmental priorities take a back seat, however, renewable energy sources are a state strategic priority of Ukraine.
