CONCEPTUAL APPROACHES TO THE IMPROVING EFFICIENCY IN PHARMACEUTICAL ENTERPRISES

Introduction. Pharmaceutical enterprises play an important role in the health care system of any country, as they are aimed at the medical supply of patients and medical institutions, adhering to the principles of economic, medical, and social efficiency. Today, using lean management and 5S tools to improve efficiency and quality in various industries is very popular, but their application to pharmaceutical companies has not been thoroughly studied. Purpose. This study is aimed at analyzing conceptual approaches to increasing the efficiency of pharmaceutical enterprises, namely the study of the effectiveness of the use of lean management and 5S for the Ukrainian pharmaceutical industry. Materials and methods. The methods of theoretical and statistical generalization, comparison, analysis, and synthesis were used during this study. The information base is scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists on issues of efficiency, and improving the quality of the activities of pharmaceutical enterprises.
