FINANCIAL CAPACITY OF INSURERS UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF TODAY’S REALITIES

Abstract
Introduction. In the conditions of real formation, the insurance market of Ukraine functions in an unstable economic environment, which affected the decrease in the activity of insurers, intensified competition between them and reflected in their financial efficiency and relationships with consumers of insurance services. Goal. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the activity of insurers and identify the problems of insurance activity in the conditions of today's realities. Materials and methods. The research materials are: normative and legal support for the regulation of the activities of insurance companies; the work of researchers in the field of insurance relations and an overview of the insurance market of Ukraine. The following scientific methods were used in the research process: theoretical generalization and grouping; analysis and synthesis; logical generalization of the results. The results. The scientific article analyzes the current state of the insurance market of Ukraine, determines the rating of insurance companies according to the main indicators, and identifies existing problems in their activities. It was concluded that the unstable functioning of the economic environment has a negative impact on the financial efficiency of insurers, therefore, initiatives to introduce the latest insurance products with an accepted pricing policy remain competitive. Prospects. In further scientific research, it is proposed to focus attention on the results of the activities of insurers due to the effective use of their own funds, an increase in the volume of collected insurance premiums and, in general, an increase in the confidence of the public market in the post-war period of recovery of the economy and the insurance market.
