Abstract

Introduction. Economic security of agricultural enterprises is a critical factor in their stability and viability, especially in times of war. The impact of military actions on agricultural businesses is profound, with effects such as infrastructure destruction, logistics disruptions, reduced access to markets, currency volatility, and heightened risks of losing human resources. In such a challenging environment, enterprises require new approaches to managing risks and ensuring economic resilience, making the study of economic security particularly timely. Purpose. The purpose of this article is to investigate the economic security of agricultural enterprises during wartime, with a focus on analyzing the primary internal and external threats that affect their stability and viability. The article also aims to identify the key factors influencing economic security and develop recommendations to ensure their sustainable operation under crisis conditions. Materials and methods. The study employed methods of systemic and comparative analysis, as well as expert evaluations, to assess the impact of internal and external factors on the economic security of agricultural enterprises. Key information sources included scientific publications, analytical reports, and data gathered from open sources on the functioning of agricultural enterprises in conflict zones. Results. The research shows that the primary factors affecting the economic security of agricultural enterprises during war are financial stability, the preservation of production capacity, human resource retention and effective logistics management. Special attention was given to evaluating risks related to physical threats to infrastructure and personnel retention strategies under crisis conditions. The findings highlight the need to develop innovative anti-crisis strategies to improve the adaptability of enterprises to external environmental changes. Discussion. Further research should focus on the development of anti-crisis strategies for agricultural enterprises in wartime, particularly on enhancing management mechanisms to strengthen enterprise resilience. This includes refining risk management practices and improving the overall sustainability of these enterprises in the face of ongoing conflict.
