Abstract

Introduction. In the article the author criminological model of crime prevention by probation authorities contains effective tools aimed at overcoming non-custodial evasion and the risk of future re-offenses by registered persons. The purpose of the study is a scientific analysis of the problem of forming an effective criminological model of crime prevention among persons on probation. Materials and methods. The study of the criminological model of crime prevention by probation authorities is based on the results of the scientific analysis of this problem by domestic scientists, legal acts regulating the activities of authorized probation authorities. The research used philosophical, general scientific and special methods of scientific knowledge, including analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, structural-functional method and others. 90 // Міжнародний науковий журнал «Інтернаука». It has been established that the basis of the criminological model of probation is: regulatory and legal support, assessment of risks and needs, implementation of probation programs and post-probation supervision. It was determined that this model covers a set of principles, mechanisms and practices aimed at supervision, behavior correction and social adaptation of persons who have committed crimes and is based on key principles: individual approach, control, alternative punishment in the form of imprisonment, community involvement. The components of the criminological model of crime prevention by probation authorities have been formed, namely: supervision and control, rehabilitation and correction, and social integration, which allows the application of such probation models as social control, rehabilitation, and risk assessment. The rehabilitative orientation of the activities of probation bodies allows to eliminate the causes of criminal and illegal behavior and to lay the foundation for the transition from the punitive system of execution of punishments to the application of elements of inclusion. Conclusions. Achieving the goal of implementing the criminological model of crime prevention by probation authorities will be served by a number of preventive measures (such as general, special and individual prevention), effective law enforcement activities, fair trial and rehabilitation of offenders.
