Functioning of the green economy in the Republic of Belarus

Abstract
The article examines the development of the "green" economy in the Republic of Belarus, emphasizing its innovativeness for the development of the country. Three main stages of the formation of an environmentally oriented economy are considered, starting from the 1990s and ending with the implementation of the National Development Strategy until 2030. The main areas are highlighted: the use of renewable energy sources, improvement of recyclable waste, development of ecotourism and organic farming. The results of the strategy of the first stage are presented and the goals of the second stage are outlined. Achievements and current challenges on the way to creating a balanced and environmentally sustainable economic system are analyzed.
