Development of ferrous metallurgy in Belarus. Economic, ecological and technological aspects

The article examines key aspects of the development of ferrous metallurgy in the Republic of Belarus. It highlights the economic importance of the industry, its contribution to the gross domestic product, employment and export potential. The main problems are analyzed, including dependence on imported raw materials, competition in international markets and environmental challenges. Particular attention is paid to the introduction of innovative technologies, modernization of production processes and government support measures. It also examines the prospects for the development of the industry, including diversification of raw material supplies, improvement of logistics and expansion of the range of products with high added value.
