Abstract
We have developed a monitoring system for facilities that house important cultural assets, which require environ- mental information management. In general, administra- tors patrol such facilities at regular intervals. Our sys- tem provides administrators with wireless devices that collect environmental data from their wireless sensors. Using such wireless devices significantly increases the efficiency of data communication in these facilities. In addition, the system employs authentication and encryp- tion features, which are useful for the preservation of im- portant cultural assets. This paper describes the structure of the system and the method for securely collecting the observed data.
