Abstract
This study focuses on the analysis of the kinetics of the methane reforming process with steam of five world-renowned technologies toobtaining syngas, true to the production of methanol and definedon two gasification processes: Steam reforming (SMR) and autothermal reforming (ATR). These simulationshave been developed with specific information on each patented process, operational data, flow diagramsand others. The five technologies analyzed show that the type of reforming to be used depends on the final product.
