Abstract
This issue of the JBC presents three articles analyzing technological and behavioral alternatives related to environmental sustainability, along with two articles focusing on studies in the field of Civil Engineering. Addressing the traditional fired clay bricks, whose artisanal production negatively impacts the community and the environment, an ecological and sustainable alternative is presented through a study by the Civil Engineering Department of UNIVALLE. This study aims to develop a specific composition of pressed soil-cement blocks in Cochabamba, Bolivia, that meet the minimum requirements for construction.
