Abstract

Introduction:The presentation of liver disease in pregnancy is varied and ranges from asymptomatic elevation of transaminases to fatal liver failure which causes significant morbidity and even mortality. Aims and Objectives:To analyse the association of clinical and biochemical parameters affecting maternal and fetal outcome in acute liver failure & acute liver injury in pregnancy. Materials & Methods-It was a prospective observational study conducted over one year involving 135 pregnant patients between19- to 40-year-old with raised liver enzymes with or without coagulopathy or altered sensorium.
