Abstract
A value usually appears a guideline or norm that helps to judge what is right or good in any situation. These are the link that tie together persona perceptions and judgments, motives and action. In Sanskrit literature values is the rhythm of life. In Sanskrit literature patriotism is regarded as a human value. Patriotism means love of mother land. A patriot loves his mother land .The patriots are loved by whole country. Hence, patriotism is considered as a commendable quality. There is an anecdote where it has been told- “Janan janmabhumisìcha Svargadapi garyas” So thrust of the paper is to highlight the patriotism thought in Sanskrit literature.
