Creation and activities of the Smolensk scout society in the early 1990s based on the materials of the Smolensk Region

The article considers the creation, activity and revival of scouting in Russia. The authors describe the creation of a scout society on the example of Smolensk region: its goals and objectives, the structure of the organization, the charter and documentation. The authors introduce into scientific circulation archival materials from the funds of the State Archive of the Smolensk Region and the State Archive of the Contemporary History of the Smolensk Region and materials of the periodicals.
