Abstract
A study was undertaken to assess the yield performance and yield gap of six timely sown wheat varieties viz. HD-2967, HD- 2894, PBW-621, PBW-550, PBW-343 and DBW-17, under rice- wheat cropping system during 2010-11 and 2011-12. The analysis of the data indicated that there was considerable yield increase ranging from 16.35 to 37.93 percent between varieties over farmers practice. Variety HD-2967 yielded 58.78 qt./ha with the net return of Rs. 84050.61 and benefit cost ratio of 4.03.
