Abstract
The article examines strategic management of banking institutions in the context of the information society, characterized by the dominance of digital technologies, rapid access to information, and constant changes in the market environment. Transformations in the banking sector are analyzed, including digitization, process automation, and changes in customer communication models. Key challenges are identified, such as increasing cyber threats, evolving customer expectations, intensifying competition from fintech companies, and the need for compliance with new regulatory requirements. The main characteristics of strategic management in banks are outlined: informational transparency, innovation, flexibility, integration, and customer orientation. Special attention is paid to the role of technological innovations such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cloud computing, which contribute to optimizing operational activities, expanding service offerings, and enhancing customer service quality. The importance of data management as a key asset enabling the development of personalized products, precise risk assessment, and market trend forecasting is emphasized. The impact of digitization on the development of banking ecosystems and collaboration with fintech companies is analyzed, highlighting the creation of additional competitive advantages. The role of cybersecurity is examined in the context of increasing digital transactions and risks associated with safeguarding customer data. Particular attention is given to adapting organizational structures to modern conditions, including the implementation of agile project management methodologies, the establishment of specialized digital transformation units, and the development of a corporate culture of innovation. The prospects for improving strategic management in banks are defined, encompassing the integration of artificial intelligence, strengthening cybersecurity, developing financial ecosystems, and enhancing service personalization. It is concluded that strategic management in banking institutions within the information society is a comprehensive process requiring the integration of innovative technologies, flexible approaches, and continuous improvement to ensure competitiveness and sustainable development.
