Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Instructional Farm of N.D. University of Agriculture & Technology, Kumarganj, Faizabad during Kharif season 2010 and 2011 to study the response of hybrid rice to sulphur and zinc nutrition in partially reclaimed sodic soil. The treatment comprised four levels each of sulphur (0, 20, 40, 60 kg/ha) and zinc (0, 5, 10, 15 kg/ha). These treatments were replicated thrice in factorial RBD. Hybrid rice variety P-4544 was taken as test crop. Application of 60 kg S and 15 kg Zn/ha produced highest grain and straw yield and nutrient uptake (N, P, K, S and Zn).
