Abstract
The paper offers a technique and algorithm for the computation of the dependence of a synchronous salient-pole motor’s electromagnetic starting torque on the value of different types’ resistances in the excitation winding circuit. The technique is based on the solving the problem of asynchronous steady state analysis in the form of a boundary one and on the differential method of static mechanic responses’ calculation. The mathematical model of the motor considers the saturation of the magnetic system by both the main magnetic flux and leakage fluxes as well as the actual distribution of the currents in the starting winding bars.
