Abstract

Difficult operation conditions of sucker rod oil pumping units cause failures and emergencies during oil production. Therefore, development of adequate mathematical models for studying emergency modes of oil pumping unit operation is an important and urgent task. The paper proposes a mathematical model of the electric drive of the sucker rod oil pumping unit for calculating dependencies of electrical and mechanical coordinates in the stationary modes by solving a boundary problem. It takes into account dependencies of moment of inertia and load moment of the unit on crank rotation angle as well as saturation of the magnetic path and current displacement in the bars of the driving motor rotor. The modelling is based on factual dynamograms of the pump. Dependencies of electric drive coordinates in the normal and typical emergency modes were obtained, namely for cases of leakage in the outlet unit and jamming of the plunger during downstroke, failures in the receiving part of the pump. The proposed mathematical model allows computer experiments studying influence of various factors on the character of variation of electrical and mechanical coordinates of the electric drive of sucker rod oil pumping unit. This can help to find viable solutions aimed at preventing emergency situations during oil production. The proposed model can be used as a component of the higher level control system for oil producing units.
