Introduction. This article is devoted to the study and analysis of the features of public administration in the field of general secondary education in developed countries of the world, which is based, first of all, on the concept of the need to ensure the quality of the provision of the appropriate type of educational services. Through state regulation, direction and coordination of this area, the principle of optimal functioning of the education system and the integration development of general secondary education as a component of the educational space is implemented.
