Abstract
The article conducted a comparative analysis of criminal liability for smuggling in Ukraine and European countries. Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hereinafter — the Criminal Code of Ukraine), including the introduction of
new articles on smuggling of goods and excisable goods, as well as their compliance with European approaches to criminalization of smuggling were investigated.
