Abstract
The article addresses the urgent issue of developing English-language terminological competence among law students at non-linguistic institutions of higher education. Particular attention is given to the study of terms related to the judiciary, especially their specific features in the legal systems of English-speaking countries, namely the United Kingdom and the United States.
