Abstract

This article examines trends in the development of scientific publications in the field of business ethics and leadership. Key anomic characteristics of scientific publications are highlighted, including multiple definitions of the research subject, the inclusion of terminology from social and natural sciences in the topic of business ethics and leadership, a cultural studies approach to defining socio-political, economic, moral, ethical, and social processes in society, the high adaptability of scientific research subjects to changing social conditions, and the applied focus of research in business ethics and leadership. The study was conducted in three stages: at the first stage of the study, content analysis was carried out to examine academic journals in cultural studies (N=47), business ethics (N=12), and leadership (N=56) indexed in Scopus for 2024-2025. The journals were classified based on the scientific subjects and areas included in the journal scope. At the second stage the Cameron-Quinn method. was conducted among employees in the service sector, the public sector, IT companies, and the small family business sector (20 respondents in each sector). Respondents were asked to rate their company twice: based on the organizational culture they belonged to and their preferred organizational culture. Based on the overall assessment results, the adhocracy type of organizational culture was identified as the most preferred. Following the assessment, respondents also expressed their opinions on the place of leadership and business ethics in an adhocracy organizational culture. At the third stage the content analysis results were compared with the empirically obtained results on the organizational culture assessments, revealing trends in the perception of business ethics and leadership. Statistical processing of the data was performed using the JASP 0.17.3.0 software package, which included a factor analysis of the principal components.
