Abstract

The article examines the theoretical foundations of bioresource management in the agro-industrial sector under the conditions of transition to sustainable development. The essence of the concept “bioresources” is revealed as a renewable form of natural capital that combines natural, economic, and socio-ecological characteristics. Special attention is paid to the analysis of modern scientific approaches to bioresource management, including resource-based, ecological-economic, institutional, and systemic approaches. The key problems related to the rational use of bioresources are identified, such as high resource intensity of agricultural production, insufficient ecological responsibility of enterprises, and the lack of integrated mechanisms for assessing bioresource potential. Conceptual provisions for the formation of an organizational and economic mechanism of bioresource management are proposed, aimed at ensuring a balance between economic efficiency and environmental safety. The article substantiates the need to implement sustainable management models based on the principles of the green economy, circular resource use, and environmental monitoring. The research results can be used to support managerial decision-making, develop regional programs for bioresource reproduction, and improve state policy in the agro-industrial sector.
