Abstract
This research seeks to evaluate the barriers to implementation of sustainable E-procurement for green construction projects in Nigeria. Descriptive statistics and Regression analysis were used to analyze the implementation barriers of E-procurement as well as deficiencies of manual procurement, to verify their significant effect on green construction projects. Results show that 73.6% variability with p−value = 0.006 p−value=0.006 at α=0.05????=0.05 showing a hypothetical proof that barriers to implementing of sustainable E-procurement framework have significant impact on green construction projects while deficiencies associated with manual procurement had 60.4% variability with p−value=0.02p−value=0.02at α=0.05????=0.05, showing that deficiencies of manual procurement have significant impact on green construction projects. This study concludes that, barriers to the implementing e-procurement like financial resources, inadequate technological infrastructure for tenderer, internal user resistance to learn multiple procurement systems and procedures, lack of competent employee on e-procurement, and training of contractors should be eliminated for successful e-procurement of green construction projects in Nigeria
