The article observes different types of exercises and forms of work with a new vocabulary at Latin lessons in universities of linguistics. A new vocabulary is learnt with the help of different exercises (multiple choice, translation, correction exercises and others). Besides, it is essential to use interactive forms of education, such as team games, bingo games, etc
