Abstract
The experimental work to identify the degree of dependence of extraction of sulfur from the cast iron as if it were vacuumization, and in furnace desulfurization. Our studies provide an opportunity to resolve the controversy over the impact of the duration of vacuumization, pressure, diffusion in the boundary layer of liquid cast iron-vacuum, increasing the surface section of these phases, the height of the fall of the jet of molten metal into a vacuum to achieve a significant reduction of harmful impurities, particularly sulfur, which creates high quality metallurgical processes. It also identified ways to effective furnace desulphurization of cast iron, which are largely determined by the degree of surface contact desulfurizers and cast iron. The proposed methods of furnace desulphurization are the most relevant issues in scaling up production of quality steels, more stringent requirements on the content of harmful impurities in the steel
