Abstract
To operate a meat chicken business, chicken farmers must select the appropriate breed of chicken and determine how many should be raised in each henhouse. This study proposes a non-linear integer programming model to develop a production planning and harvesting schedule for chicken farmers. Computational results show that the proposed model can help chicken farmers to deal with the problems of chickenhenhouse assignment, chicken raising and harvesting thus contribute to improving profit.
