Abstract
The specifics of the using adjectives of color in a political discourse are considered in the article. The examples of adjectives of colors, which have received in journalism new symbolic and political interpretation, are presented in the work, semantic transformations of lexemes of orange and revolution, new evaluation and word compatibility and turns of speech are presented.
