DEVELOPMENT OF GENDER POLICY AND GENDER EQUALITY IN KAZAKHSTAN

The importance and features of gender policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as mechanisms of political participation of women are considered in this article. The gender policy is directed on achievement of equality between men and women in all spheres of activity of society. The gender policy is one of the important directions of social modernization of society, as the creation of equal opportunities is an important component in ensuring active participation of the woman in political, economic and social life of the country. Measures in the field of realization of the gender policy that are adopted in Kazakhstan are among the high-performing.
