Abstract

Definition of the term "approach" is given; six methodological approaches (axiological, integrative, existential, personal focused, subject and activity, competence-based) and its components from positions of different researchers are considered in the article. Its essence is revealed in the work and possibility of its application to the process of training of foreign languages is analyzed.
