Abstract
Small and Medium scale industries which are requires higher productivity CNC machines with less initial cost. So, now in days a trend of special purpose machines are increases replaced from multi operational CNC machine. Some of the special purpose machines like Special Purpose CNC turning machine manufacturing on the base of conventional lathe. In this type of machine manufacturing, replacing of Apron Mechanism gear train by Variable Frequency drive and lead Screw of conventional lathe replaced with ball screw with servo drive. This type of Special Purpose Machine is specially used for Outer Diameter turning and Inner diameter turning of work piece with different diameter. Here, in this paper considering standard design related parameter for calculation of cutting force and selection of proper ball screw drive to develop Feed drive system in Special purpose CNC turning machine.
