Abstract
In the article, the author describes her experience of the analysis of the utterances with politically correct words in terms of the theory of speech acts. The results of the analysis permit the author to make the conclusion that the illocutionary goal of the assertive utterances with politically correct words does not coincide with communicative intention of the speaker since the propositions of such utterances do not represent the real state of affairs of the world
