DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT OF FIXTURE FOR LEAKAGE TESTING OF TOP COVER OF THE GEARBOX

Top covers are manufactured by using casting processes, as precision and accuracy are important. After manufacturing of top cover there remains some porosity that hampers the accuracy as well as aesthetic approach of manufacturing. Manual leakage testing was done by using a fixture, but as the time demands mechanization and automation is need of all new emerging companies. The use of manual labour gives a chance for errors, so it is proposed to have a leakage testing machine which will be helpful in accurate, timesaving and foolproof.
