Abstract
The research works studying development mechanisms and factors promoting backache at people of various catego-ries are being carried out due to the annual increase of backache frequency and rate among the population of all age groups of various countries and huge economic losses. The article deals with the results of studying the role of bone mineral density at women with postmenopause in terms of age. The peculiarities and connection between the charac-teristics of vertebral pain syndrome and BMD indices were determined.
