Abstract
The main subject of this paper is the activities of the ministry of war during the First World War for transferring the devotion and heroism of the Turkish army in the Gallipoli Wars to the next generations. The Ministry of War demanded the assistance of the representatives of the branches of fine arts, like art, music and cinema for expressing the extraordinary efforts during the war. A group of the representatives were brought to the front lines for establishing a genuine war literature by writing their observations. The first works were written but they did not satisfy the demands. In this work, the activities of the Ministry of War for establishing a war literature is mentioned and documents from Ottoman archive documents and the press of the period were used
