Abstract
The article analyzes geopolitical transformations, which took place in the region of Greater Caucasus in 2012 - 2013. The author draws special attention to the danger of two interstate blocks, which could be formed in the Caucasus region. The rivalry between them can lead to unacceptable escalation of regional problems.
