The author considers the semantics of the verbal predicates in the descriptive text. General meaning connected all verbal predicates in descriptive texts is the meaning of existence. The basic method is structurally descriptive method, involving the linguistic observation, analysis and classification of linguistic resources. There are 11 groups of verbal predicates used in the descriptive texts. The research results are correlated with “Explanatory Dictionary of Russian verbs” and “Russian semantic dictionary”.
