Abstract
The article is devoted to the issue of proper individual repertoire selection for piano students. The most important pedagogical principles of repertoire formation of young pianist are determined and systematized. The special atten-tion is given to the study of psychological constitution of the students. The study was conducted in Children Arts School in Balezino. The research work lasted for 1 year (2014). The study is of practical importance for the teachers of Children's Music Schools and Children Arts Schools. The authors give recommendations on the selection of music pieces for children with certain psychological constitution on the example of Children album of P.I. Tchaikovsky.
