Abstract
Several Buddhist scholars visited Tibet at different times and enriched the thoughts of Buddhism there. Among them great Buddhist scholars Śānta Rak?ita, Padma Sambhava, Kamalaśila and Atisa Dīpānkar Śrījñān are well known to all; they came to Tibet and propogated Buddhist religion and philosophy, thus paving the way for the subsequent intensive interest of Tibetan scholars in Buddhist thought and culture.
