Abstract

Shah Ismail, who inherited this heritage at the age of a child on behalf of his ancestors killed with the love of Shahdom, had pushed Islam Ummah to a schism whose wounds have not healed yet. Although his ancestors were Sunni and Shafii , Shah Ismail who was a Turk himself could not ingratiate himself either with Sunniis or Qizilbashes because of his own actions. He forced Qizilbash Turkish Tribes which were effective in his being a state to be Shia/Imamiyyah and killed the ones who resisted and on the other hand he put so much effort into ruining the people of Sunni Ottoman Empire by means of his missioners. After all, losing the revenge against Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan in Chaldiran War, Shah Ismail had missed the opportunity to institute Islamic Union for the first time after the Judge Event. Because Iran would rise from the ashes of Chaldiran War and the disagreement among the Ummah would increase. After that, Qizilbash Community in Anatolia who had resisted against Ottoman Empire and set their hearts on Shah Ismail, would turn in on themselves, and would try to take revenge of Chaldiran with different manifestations on ocaasion. At this point of view, Shah Ismail neither could be accepted by Shia as Pharisee nor had a place in Turkish history as a Turk.
